April 9, 2015 marked the birth of ASB, with the collaboration between Bank Negara Malaysia and MIT Sloan School of Management (MIT Sloan). ASB was founded in response to the need for qualified, industry-ready talents to fill the needs of the exponential growth and opportunities of Asia. Integrating the MIT DNA by bringing theory and practice together, the same core courses that are delivered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA are taught in ASB’s MBA full-time and MBA for Working Professionals degree programs. Both MIT Sloan’s world-renowned faculty and ASB’s residential faculty teach this rigorous curriculum.

Program description
Established through a partnership between MIT Sloan and the Central Bank of Malaysia, the ASB MBA is built on MIT’s heritage and pedagogy, and the formidable network and resources of Bank Negara Malaysia.
The full-time MBA program features a core curriculum taught by MIT Sloan and ASB faculty, complemented by Action Learning projects with organizations across Asia and beyond.
The curriculum includes up to three-week MIT Sloan Immersion in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and 1-week study treks where students visit companies and institutions of interest in global financial hubs.
