Program description

This two-year program is comprised of ten core courses (30 credits) and six electives (18 credits). Core courses are offered on campus in the Gerdin Business Building, home of the Ivy College of Business. Electives are offered in Ames, Des Moines, and online. Customize your MBA experience with optional specializations and international study tours. Enjoy the benefits of a cohort and team based learning. Take advantage of the comprehensive and personalized academic and career services. Learn from faculty engaged in leading edge research and committed to teaching excellence. In the Ivy MBA, you will work on many class projects as a team developing your collaboration, leadership, and communications skills. The MBA core curriculum will compel you to problem-solve by thinking both analytically and creatively. The professional development courses include workshops and guest speakers that will further enhance your networking and soft skills. You will join a team of MBA peers and serve as consultants with local non-profit organizations. You and your MBA team will participate in a case competition; the culminating event in the MBA core curriculum. You will also be invited to participate in case competitions hosted by other universities and organizations.
