Tunghai University was established in 1955 and it is located on the level plateau of Taichung’s Tatu Mountain. Tunghai University, a liberal institution is full of scholarly elites and abundant resources and is well-known for its beautiful campus. Tunghai has 9 colleges, 34 departments and 35 Master’s programs and 14 PhD programs.
To maximize effective and interactive learning experiences for students of different horizons, the College of Management designs a flexible degree program structure for the Global Master of Business Administration. The structure is expressed by the standard student-credit-hour (SCH) system prevailing in Taiwan’s higher education and conforms to requirements by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in Taiwan. It is also equivalent to that specified for similar programs offered by top universities in the country. To complete the GMBA degree program, at least two academic years or four semesters are needed. In Taiwan, the first semester of an academic year starts in August and ends in January and the second semester starts in February and ends in July. Each semester comprises 18 weeks of teaching activities. It is within the instructor’s discretion to determine the week for mid-term and/or final examinations or substitute alternative learning activities for examinations. The curriculum consists of 39 credit hours in total.
