Program description

The MBA at UIS is a generalist degree that provides career building opportunities for persons in all walks of life. Students will master contemporary management theory and practice in: accounting, finance, information systems, marketing, operations management, and organizational behavior. The MBA is a blended format and consists of 12 courses–8 core courses and 4 electives.  Most core courses meet week nights on the UIS campus. Electives are offered in a variety of ways including online, blended, and on campus–weeknights and weekends. The College of Business and Management seeks to have a learning environment in which traditional and nontraditional students are given learning opportunities to prepare them for careers, positions, and/or advancement in corporate, government, and nonprofit organizations.
